Vacation In Your Own Backyard at the Orenco Station Manor Suites!

Wednesday, December 31st, 1969

Gas prices are soaring out of control and vacation seems like a thing of the past. Here’s a thought for those that are dying to get away: be a Staycationer! A Staycation is defined as a unique type of getaway where the staycationer travels nearby to a local hotel perhaps, or to a part of their local area they’ve never been to. In one way, they are staying home and in another they are going on vacation!

If a staycation sounds like something you’re up for this summer, Orenco Station Manor Suites offers the most getaway for your money. Go easy on the travel time, lighten up on the costs and take advantage of each and every amenity you’d find elsewhere.

Take a trip back in time to a place where neighborhood matters, where people are welcoming and friends are made on a daily basis. Enjoy a walk along Main Street, also known as Orenco Station Parkway, and bump into the locals who enjoy conversations with passersby while sipping an area vino on the front porch of their brownstones. Stooping, as it is called, is welcome and wanted in this neck of the woods!

Take a moment to pop into the local merchants, which include three excellent restaurants from around the world: The Merchant of Venice serves up excellent Italian fare, Orenco Station Grill allows you to feel right at home with American cuisine and Swagath sends you to India featuring authentic Indian choices. Do not miss a wine tasting at Renaissance wines and enjoy a friendly discount simply for being a Manor Suites guest. O-town, as the locals call it, comes equipped with its very own Starbucks as well as a salon, healthy pet food store and more.

Stay right here in 2008, if you prefer: Orenco Station Manor Suites is as technologically advanced as they come. Not only is the entire property equipped with free secure wireless internet, but two business centers boast of a workstation, copy machine, color printer and complimentary fax. Each suite comes equipped with flat screen televisions (most of them plasma), dvd players and dvd libraries. The iPod docking station is a plus.

Top your staycation off with a body treatment, facial, foot massage or skin treatment at the Opulence Women’s Spa, located right on the premises. More information can be found at www.relaxatopulence.com.

If you feel the need to spread out a bit, hop on the MAX, Portland’s jewel of a transportation system, which stops just 2 blocks away from the Orenco Station Manor Suites.

Once you plan your getaway in this neighborhood, you’ll find yourself needing a Staycation here again and again.
